J-GOP Meeting Follow-up July

Hi Friends,

We, once again, had a great meeting at East Side Kosher Deli last night. For those who were there, we heard from leaders of Colorado Union of Taxpayers, Convention of States, Americans for Prosperity and Leadership Program of the Rockies. We heard from J-GOP member and HD 32 Candidate Al Jacobson as well. We had a great presentation and conversation with the Americhicks (Kim Monson and Molly Voght) and had an opportunity to individually call US Senator Michael Bennet to express our concern about President Obama's nuclear Iran deal.

Contact Sen Bennet at his Denver Metro Office, 1127 Sherman St., Suite 150, Denver, CO 80203 or Phone: 303-455-7600 or 866-455-9866.

I discussed the Western Conservative Summit and the Summit Shabbat services and Kiddush (Orthodox service and kosher Kiddush) under the supervision of Rabbi Zalman Popack and significant sponsorship from the Centennial Institute. The J-GOP initially sponsored the event by committing $250 and helped to organize a basic service in a room, but the Summit gratuitously carved out a significant budget making it possible to easily feed 60 to 70 Friday night attendees as well as a Saturday service and Kiddush. Please show your support by donating to Centennial Institute, Rabbi Popack and the J-GOP so together, we can make this an annual part of the Summit.

The Jewish Republicans of Colorado is your place to go when your heart and mind is troubled by current events.  Remember, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

Sincerely,
Dan Kopelman
J-GOP President

J-GOP Meeting Wed, July 15 - Speakers: The Americhicks from KLZ

Hi Friends,

You may have heard about the flap at KLZ with some of the hosts, well that does not mean there are not others. Two, in particular, Molly Voght and Kim Monson, are known as The Americhicks. They are a dynamic duo and have plenty to say about how things are and how they should be.

After serving 16 years as a consultant to financial advisors, small business owners and their employee's, Molly Vogt began taking her advice directly to the communities, where she feels she will be most effective helping improve the quality of life for all Americans.

Kim Monson believes passionately in the American Dream because she's lived it. She arrived in Colorado, in an old Buick, with about a hundred bucks in her pocket and the belief, that in America, anything is possible. And it is. She started work at a bank, then as a stock trading assistant. She studied at nights and on week-ends for her investment broker's license. Hired at Boettcher & Company, an old respected investment

We will also have a group discussion of the issues of the day at the beginning of every meeting! This is your J-GOP and your opportunity to express your opinion on the myriad of issues facing our country and Israel in these challenging times!

Bring an issue or chime in as the moderator introduces a few of the topics that have dominated the news in the past month!  Bring a friend to join in the discussion!

The Jewish Republicans of Colorado is your place to go when your heart and mind is troubled by current events.  Remember, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

If you missed the Western Conservative Summit, you missed a lot. There was even a flash mob! You can see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fB67D1EoS9o

Please join us for the July 15 meeting and bring a friend as well as your questions and comments.

Sincerely,
Dan Kopelman
J-GOP President
