Come to an event honoring our own Evan Holz
Dear Friends,
We would like to let you know that Evan Holz, our long time treasurer and board
member, has just been awarded the MINORU YASUI COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER AWARD. The mission
of this award is to honor outstanding volunteers who have received little or no
recognition for their efforts on behalf of their community. The SUPPORT OUR SERVICEMAN/WOMAN
or SOS care package program that Evan has developed is well known to most of our
members.

There will be a ceremony for his volunteer work on Thursday, October 25, 2012, at
the Denver Marriott Tech Center Hotel at 5:45 pm. As JGOP has been a primary supporter
of this program, Evan has asked that all members be invited to this program. He
feels very strongly that the involvement of JGOP was instrumental in this award
and would like to express his appreciation to the group as a whole.
Evan will be awarded a check for $2,000 to be designated for a charitable organization.
He has indicated that this will given to the Veteran's Passport to Hope, a Denver
area arm of the Wounded Warriors Foundation. The ceremony will last for approximately
30 minutes and light refreshments will be served. We hope to see you there.
