J-GOP is a social and political organization that is more than 20 years old. Meeting at the East Side Kosher Deli in SE Denver for many years with 20 to 40 attendees on a regular basis. We welcome both Conservative and Republican minded Jews and non-Jews of any denomination to attend and become active members of our organization.

May 16th Speaker: Kent Lambert

Kent Lambert represents Colorado Senate District 9, which includes northern Colorado
Springs, the Air Force Academy, and parts of Black Forest.

Kent Lambert retired from the United States Air Force in 2004 as a Colonel. His
varied career included tours as a B-52 instructor; a senior scientific analyst in
the Pentagon; the air and defense attache in Jordan and Sweden; the Deputy Defense
Intelligence Officer for Europe in the Defense Intelligence Agency; and the Deputy
Director of the Air Force Space Command Space Analysis Division.

He demonstrated his leadership skills at the United States Air Force Academy by
serving on the Cadet Wing Staff in one of only two positions elected by the cadets
themselves, the Chairman of the Cadet Professional Ethics Committee. He was commissioned
from the Academy in 1974, and has had a diverse career in Air Force operations,
scientific analysis, and international affairs, receiving many awards and medals.

As an instructor pilot, he proved his leadership, management, teaching, and team
building ability. He led other wing instructors to teach in-flight B-52 combat
tactics. As a wing staff officer, he led wing planning, flight scheduling, and served
as director of the battle staff for an entire B-52 wing.

June 20th Speaker: Christine Q. Burtt

Christine Burtt is president of CQB & Associates, Inc., a public relations and political
consulting firm established since 1981 in Denver, Colorado.
Christine is recognized as a key political consultant with a win record of 41 of
52 Colorado campaigns. She has worked as a political trainer in Russia, Angola,
Mongolia, Indonesia, Jordan, Morocco, Ramallah in the West Bank, the United Arab
Emirates, Egypt, and South Sudan.
For her corporate clients, Christine helps tell the right story to keep away from
the wrong side of a media storm through crisis communications, reputation management,
and pro-active New Media strategies.
She is the former chairman of CRBC, the Colorado Republican Business Coalition,
a group that promotes the interests of small business in the Colorado Legislature.
And, she works to improve economic literacy as a member of the Board of the Colorado
Council for Economic Education.
Christine earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication and a Master's
degree in Public Administration in Public Policy from the University of Colorado.
She and her husband, Doug, are parents of a son who is a helo pilot with the United
States Coast Guard, and a daughter, a professional singer/songwriter.
The family lives in the Observatory Park neighborhood in Denver.
